Default Posture tab?

I don't know if im too stingy, but.. I really dislike the way characters stand. I can understand that necromancers are somewhat hunched over (through i don't know, bone decay, or something like that) But what of the other classes? Assassins(male) for example, stand at this awkward angle somewhat leaning back, and it seems to me that their armor isn't to heavy that it might weigh them down.

Anyway, i think there should be a posture tab.

Something like the menu to show capes/helmets but displaying different postures of the character.

Some possible postures could include:
Normal (the way they stand now)
Straight (more verticle way, or good posture)
Hunched (like a necromancer)
Shift left, Shift right (leans on one side of body, as (male) eles, and ritualists do.)

The possibilities are numerous, and the benefits could improve character customization and uniqueness.

Also wouldn't it be cool, to see a monk hunched over like a necro if you wanted. It seems to me abit off, that while some character models look somewhay....aged... That they all stand the same way. Personally i think mostly all male characters look somewhat off balance. Also, different postures would make for cooler screenshots =P

Anyone think so too?

Maybe, depending on how hard the coding is.

The way the characters stand now is kinda part of their profession. Aside from that, it's just generally insignificant and not worth the devs' time...

have you seen the way the female characters stand? Pretty much all of them have the same posture. I wouldn't mind them being a bit different.

just for characters having different postures rather them all being the same:

A huge amount of effort to change the models of a lot of stuff. Whenever characters use items that aren't meant for their class there are problems (look at all the cropping issues when monks use sheilds for instance). I can only imagine how much trouble this would cause.

I can't let this discussion end with so much BS being thrown around. This is possible, and even quite simple, to implement. The following factors play in favor of it being implemented:

1) Meshes (or character models, polygons) are designed without animations. A "skeleton" is added which distorts the meshes to make the animations; this is how they record people with motion-capture suits, as each "joint" on these suits corresponds to a "joint" on this "skeleton". Much like in Macromedia Flash, all it takes for animation is two still frames and the software interpolates between these states. Since the human character models (virtually without doubt) use the same skeleton (with only the meshes and animations being different), it would be trivial to simply switch between them.

2) Clipping issues already occur, even with items designed for a specific class. Cases in point: Eagle Defenders, anything with warrior Primeval Armor, etc.

3) The females of these professions aren't all hunched over, and they apparently don't have any problems. It constantly irritates me how stereotypical the characters look, despite their goal of realism. They can market that garbage, I don't care, but an option to not have to play as a Barbie doll would be nice. As such, females should be able to be hunched, males have the option of not being hunched.

These points bring me to agree with adding the option, but it will probably be ignored by a.net, or at the very best, only as an option for the next expansion.

/notsigned I'd rather have development work on letting us change their hair and faces.
